Kayaked today with my dad. We went to the Chesapeake Beach area. This was an area hit hard by hurricane Isabel. Houses and businesses were flooded - and those were the lucky ones. Many had damage from trees. Some were destroyed. The boardwalk was whipped around. Boards were missing, the boardwalk and paved sidewalk was rippled like an ocean. Finding a place to eat was difficult. Power still has not been restored. All that said, the water was good for kayaking! Traveled to PHL in the evening.
